Same here. Although a couple years ago my husband was out in the front yard with our grandkids. This old guy came down the road ringing the bell in some kind of make shift ice cream truck. The kids were excited so he bought them each an ice cream of some kind. Came back in the house bitchin’ because they were $4 a piece. Heard the bell a couple weeks later. Ignored it and never saw him again. Not sure if was an old guy trying to make a few extra bucks or what.
The overhead on a country ice cream truck is heavy. $4 it is. Great story.
Our IC truck was named BIMBO, I can still hear the tinkly song from a distance. Go just fast enough to make you run, and just slow enough you don’t lose the scent. A good BIMBO driver is hard to find. Balance, baby, balance!
