Ir seems implausible that Panda Gourmet would be even better than the last time I was here -years ago- but I have to say I was very impressed. We had a terrific meal.
The liang pi cold steamed noodles had great, firm texture and some really nice heat. The gan guo fish (served in a mini-wok, as pictured in the menu), was searing hot in temperature, and the stir fry pita with lamb and beef was as comforting a bowl of food as you can imagine. I am not sure I’ve had anything of this texture from any other cuisine or restaurant. The tiny cubes of bread are partly soaked yet still bear some structural integrity. i could eat this all the time.
In addition to those goodies, the string beans in garlic sauce are a simple food with good wok hay. Not so much a sauce, but seared with oil and minced ginger.
A serious delight.
