Ordered the vodka pizza from Cafe Zuzu. Despite a slightly botched and delayed delivery once the pizza was warmed up again it was decent. Nice kick and flavors though quite greasy.
Tried a somewhat new spot Raffs Pizza in Annex. Their delivery has been hard to get where a friend had been able to get delivery once or twice but they haven’t been showing up lately.
I am not sure what was here before but a very big dining area.
Combo of a bar plus hangout for the hotel maybe?
Anyways the reason to visit them instead of trusty delivery spot was their sourdough base. They allow you to do half and half combos.
I had the vodka and truffle mushroom.
Friend had the French fig and margherita.
Decent sized and will fill up even two people with a light appetite at times IMO. I finished mine and friend even ended up taking a few slices home.
I enjoyed my pizza. The dough is filling so if you or your friends are on a ‘healthy’ pizza bandwagon give them a try.
I got a slice of this grano padano prosciutto arugula mushroom pizza af Eataly. ($14 and change after tax)
A couple hours later, I chased the slice from Eataly with a Zaatar Slice from Nice Slice on Borden at Harbord . ($6.50 after tax)
Comparing apples to oranges. I love that Zaatar slice af Nice Slice. It’s tangy with pomegranate molasses, greasy and chewy , sweet and salty. Decadent. Best $6.50 tax included slice in my neck of the woods.
Not now, but hopefully in the future?!
