Sietsema and I have totally different tastes in food but I’ve been reading his reviews since he wrote for the Village Voice way back when.
Sad that Eater will be eliminating even more original content and probably adding more (AI generated) best-lists.

Sietsema is posting quite a few quick photos and comments through X this week. I hadn’t followed him before, but I’m following him now.
I found Eater NYC useful, sometimes.
I found Eater’s info for Detroit poor and misinformed in 2018, and Eater’s info for Oahu and Kauai poor in 2019. This doesn’t reflect on Sietsema, of course. My friends and I used to make spreadsheets or lists before trips. I stopped taking Eater seriously after the trip to Detroit in 2018.
