Ray’s BBQ had its windows smashed and broken into last night. Video footage below in the IG post.
Why do people break into closed restaurants, which will not have cash laying around. Especially a mom-and-pop place.

Super sad 
It seems that a lot of mom and pops do have safes in the back or at least people perceive them to have safes. There was a spate of Long Beach break ins a couple of weeks ago too and I think la taco mentioned that there was a safe at a couple of places.
Based on social media it looks like it’s pretty easy to get away with break ins at this time and mom and pops are easy targets since they lack the security, money handling consistent depositing at banks, and sophistication to fight back unfortunately.
Hopefully they get back on their feet soon!
