Not much time for color commentary. Bruins game to watch.
Takeout one night from the Fat Greek in Capitol Sq/Arl. It was ok but they’ve just opened. Not many veggie options so got falafel. B seemed to enjoy his gyro. The pork seemed pallid to me, as did the roast potatoes. We’ll try it again because it’s convenient to Spring Onion’s school.
Lunch at the Square Peg in Warren was adequate. That place gets B-Z on the weekends. B was disappointed by his small salmon portion on his salad. I had some veggie salad (mushrooms?) that was good.
Awesome breads from Bakeshop down the street. Check out the seeded sourdough—zowie! SO loved the sourdough baguette.
The new waterfront location of Chomp in Warren is awesome. Non-burger food (fish sandwich) was just ok. Guys loved their burgers.
Early dinner at Red Bridge Tavern East PVD was fine and homey. My chowder was smaller than I expected but delicious. Burger for SO. Bar pizza for B.
One very bad Saturday (issues with my mom and dad) was remedied by lunch at Brass Monkey in PVD. Weird crowd due to the Kentucky Derby, graduation, Cinco de Mayo. I was feeling so low, I ordered shrimp for the hell of it (I am steadfastly anti-shrimp). It was gooood. Fried chicken sandwich for B, cheese quesadilla for SO. Felt much better afterwards.
Afterwards, we got ice cream at Haledo Taiyaki for SO on our way to the awesome PVD rock and roll vintage market.
