A brief report in our recent visit to quebec city.

Kraken crew

Superb cullinary. U can easily pick anything on the menue and be impressed.
Fresh oysters.

Patent et Machine

Excellent meat and scallops.
Sweetbread, venison, maple cake, goat deconstructed cheesecake desert all perfectly executed. Greate vibe, very informal. Happy service.

Pied blue

Hearty lyonnaise cuisine. Very tasty stews. Family recipes. Good wine list. Homey atmosphere. They also double as epicerie I think.

Chez rioux et pettigrew

Brussel sprouts Cole slaw with mustard (was not even a dish, just a complement)!
Everything we had was perfectly executed.
We were walked through the kitchen and greeted by the cooks. Fun!
Lingonberry and chocolate dessert.

Maelstrom

Excellent ingredients
Hipster place
Great coffee
Brunch cocktails

Ophelia

Clam chowder very good. Can taste fish in addition to clams
Tomahawk steak excellent
Expensive

We spent 3 nights in Quebec City end of April, before going to Montreal, and I posted about our meals (see QC thread). Le Pied Bleu & Ophelia were two of our 3 dinners. We liked both. The 3rd place was Bistro St. Malo & that was really good as well.
