This is what I call a ‘backpocket dish.’ Something that you know you can count on, though it’s been years since I’ve had it. It is a trusty friend that is a lot cheaper than a plane ticket to Europe, while showcasing the wonder of rustic cooking:
As you can see, it is served with lentils and red cabbage to cut into the richness of the fat. Nothing special, but they are a nice foil and especially satisfying at the end when you have nothing but the residue on your plate to mix together.

I did not try either of the patés (both on the specials menu), rabbit is on the left and country-style on the right. But they do look correct and I now have them on my radar for next time:
