If our visit had been earlier in the day, we’d have been ordering from their fairly lengthy breakfast menu which runs from Eggs Benedict, through the Full English to Shakshuka. As it was, it was lunch time. So, Welsh Rarebit for one of us. A noticeable tang from the cheese and mustard, generous serving of smoked streaky bacon, chutney and a handful of mixed salad. And a toasted sandwich – thick slices of bread filled with shredded ham hock, cheese, lettuce and tomato, coleslaw and the salad to accompany. Nice lunch.
