Nice! My next range will ideally have a fifth burner (but six is overkill for me), and probably convection as well.
I never use more than 2 burners at a time …
Me neither. But I’m rarely cooking for more than one.
Well, there are two things I’ve never heard of.
Same, same.
I just used 3! But more than 4 is overkill for me personally
I was highly invested in this.
That sounds like a great recipe but wow: 48 hours??
After cleaning the ashy stuff, does the oven perform as it should?
I have not used it, but I will keep you posted!
One guy froze his dough for three weeks!
More down time in the fridge = better flavor for chocolate chip cookies.
Maybe so, but here at the ricepad pad, we lack the requisite patience. After surriptitious filching, that batch of dough would probably yield only three or four cookies.
Well, to be fair, longer downtime in the fridge makes for better baked CCCs. The dough is a-ok fresh, in my experience.
What was the goal of freezing the dough? I’d think that would halt any potential “aging” benefits. Did it taste notably different than other cookies you sampled?
Not a goal, just an “I am away for three weeks and won’t be back 'til the night before the contest.” And no, it did not. But they were all different, which was cool, considering we used essentially the same ingredients.
Thank you for this feedback.
I often freeze dough, but more out of sloth than careful planning!
THis is true but for some reason I have never been able to wait long than 24 hours ![]()
