[Playa de las Americas, Tenerife] SUKA Fruits

A very different breakfast from the cheap and not so cheerful Full English offerings that you find in this part of PDLA. For one of us, a bowl of yoghurt, topped with granola and about half a dozen different fruits. A side order of honey was a good idea for drizzling. It was a combo with a glass of OJ. Pancakes for the greedy one. Six of them – thick American style, about 10cm across, served in a stack with each one interleaved with a different fruit. It needed a side order of yoghurt for moistness.

Food is slow to come out of the kitchen but is beautifully presented when it does. Coffee tasted fine but wasn’t very hot. Service, from the young Sicilian lass was spot on – doing her job of trying to upsell but in a really lovely way. She’s an absolute natural for the hospitality industry.

One to go back to (which we did).
