Pie and Mash NYT article

Today’s New York Times had an article on the cockney dish pie and mash. I’ve never had it and am curious to hear people’s thoughts on the topic.

I don’t really eat pie and mash regularly. There’s a hipster pie cafe in my neighborhood which I’ve written about here:

But it’s a bit different to the classic London pie and mash with liquor. It’s a filling meal and very comforting on a cold day.

Hope you get more replies than my earlier post :crossed_fingers:t3:

We have a new pie and mash place that recently opened in Toronto! I have not tried it yet.

Eastend Pie and Mash on Gerrard St E.

These Pies are also good at Man on Kent pub. Man on Kent has not been offering take-out lately, and it’s too crowded, dark and noisy for me inside the Pub. I have not bought their frozen pies yet.
