About a mile outside of town, we went for Sunday breakfast. There’s a good choice, including a bowl of granola with their own fruit compote and Langley Farm yoghurt. There’s also a very decent “Full English” – two rashers of bacon, tasty sausage and the award winning local “Doreen’s black pudding”. And, yes, there is a Doreen. It’s very peppery with a goodly number of small cubes of fat. Also on the plate, there’s beans, tomato, mushrooms and a slice of granary toast. One of us felt quite healthy after breakfast while the other needed a bit of a lie down.
