Not on the list, but the beauty of exploring a city is, to a large measure, random discoveries
While hoofing through the sweltering city, we came across this gem: a fully vegan dessert shop
From the menu that offers any variety of toppings (nuts, fruit, sprinkles, sauces)
we shared a “plain” frozen banana with whipped coconut milk, raw walnuts and homemade chocolate sauce.
It was absolutely delicious — very banana-y, not too sweet, super-creamy, yet not nearly as filling as dairy-based ice cream. I’m about as far from veganism as culinarily possible, but I could (and will) absolutely get this again. $7 might seem a lot for the base, but it is a very generous portion that even the two of us couldn’t finish.
