Philly airport dinner help needed

We will be staying at the Doubletree Philly airport June 26 ahead of a world cup game the following day. Relatives from Australia landing at 5:30 pm so we will pick up from the airport and depending on the time will either go straight to hotel or dinner. It will be his 80th birthday so we would like to go somewhere a little nicer but not too far from the hotel as they will be tired from a day of travel. They will be arriving after a trip to California in the middle of their east coast travels so won’t have to go thru customs . Any kind of food or price range is ok. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

We had a wonderful dinner at L’Angolo in South Philly after having just flown in from a vacation.

It’s less than a 15 min drive.

L’Angolo is an excellent choice, it is BYOB so you would need to bring wine if you would like it. I do not believe there is a corkage fee. It is a small restaurant so it can get noisy if that’s an issue for your guests.
Other options nearby would be Le Virtu or Townsend, both on East Passyunk Avenue. Both have liquor licenses and would be quieter.
There are a ton of other options on East Passyunk and nearby, Irwin’s at the top of the Bok building is one but it also tends to be noisy.

What do you think of the food at Irwin’s? We were always skeptical since it’s A Restaurant With A View (a stunning one, at that).

The food is good, but you are absolutely paying for the view with the prices. I went once last summer and will likely go again this season, but there are certainly places with the same quality food for less money. It’s nice for a special occasion.
