Is Pete Wells the new hero of New Jersey, now that he has declared Razza’s pizza better than anything in NYC?
Maybe not the best mushroom pie I’ve ever had, but very respectable. Margarita could benefit from more cheese. (I know it looks like plenty of cheese, but it’s actually not.)
Certainly among the most generously topped I’ve seen.
Which was?
Probably Pete & Elda’s in Neptune, NJ or the Old Town at Stretch Pizza or a special at Una Pizza Napoletana.
Looks can be deceiving. Also, super random basil placement, and @vinouspleasure knows how I feel about that.
I pick all the basil off
And redistribute toppings where possible
The toppings being badly distributed is MUCH more annoying on “artisanal” pies
I’m surprised so many mushroom pies in the US seem to be white pies.
At the “artisan” places, but not at the “regular” places.
looks like they took the bake too far? Kinda surprising. I think I’m taking it off my bucket list based on your review and the look of those pies.
