Always on the lookout for something “new”, I was quite impressed by the “Spring Roll Thosai” offered by Bite N Eat Dindigul Biriyani in Penang’s Little India.
The dish combined the lightest, crispiest “thosai” with crunchy, julienned vegetables (cooked Desi-Chinese-style). It’s served with kara-chutney, coconut chutney and a light dhal curry, but those were not really necessary as the “spring roll thosai” is already very tasty on its own.
