[Penang] Macallum Street Night Market

Our first dinner in Penang, we went for dinner at the Macallum Street, George Town. We were on a Saturday, around 9 pm, there were not a lot of stalls and not particularly lively. A bit disappointed since we took a bit of travelling to arrive there. We only read afterwards that it opens only on Monday and Thursday.

Char bee hoon, with pork and shrimp and fried rice vermicelli

Fried oyster, it was delicious with omelette. Oyster wasn’t very cook, which was ideal.

Loh mee, with thick dark starchy sauce, marinated egg, chicken feet, egg noodles, quite good.

Even bought a curry potato at a market stall (didn’t know what it was), discovered it was some sort of bread at breakfast the next day.
