So apparently, we’re smack in the middle of pawpaw season and I have yet to try this treasured, worshipped fruit and would love to get my hands on one.
Does anyone know of any places that have any in the greater Boston area, ideally within the realm of the 128 belt?

The Mushroom Shop in Somerville had them as of yesterday.
I’m only looking for 1-2 fruits - I doubt that’d be enough to do any harm. I’ve actually technically already had some pawpaw in a beer from Upland Brewing out in Indiana (I don’t think that counts though! 
) but thanks!
Drove over to The Mushroom Shop and while they were sold out of pawpaws by the time I got there, having never been, I was actually able to pickup a few things including a small bag of MSG, some Pippara peppers from Spain which I love (first discovered those in a salad at Pizza Marvin in Providence), some Rancho Gordo beans and a few other goodies. Will definitely return and apparently if you call ahead they can set some aside. Cool little shop!
One of the local food businesses that I follow on Instagram and have yet to visit. Gotta get over there in conjunction with Pikachi Ramen once they re-open. Thanks for the reminder!
ETA: My father-in-law lives on Paw Paw Road in Cambridge MD. He has a tree on his property and I don’t think he’s had any GI distress from eating the fruit. But then again, we’re not that close.
Yeah their IG account is great and I was glad to finally make my way there - I shall return soon to try and get some dang pawpaws. The shop is small but they have loads of fairly hard-to-get foodie items that would be a headache to buy online
