[Paris] Special Non-Tasting Menu Dinner

My sister and I are taking our father to Paris for his 70th birthday. He loves good food but is not a fan of tasting menus. He much prefers to enjoy fewer courses and is happy to order more than necessary to experience more of the menu.

I would love some recs for a great special Saturday night dinner. We have Eunoe booked for Sunday and am hoping to snag Cheval d’Or for Monday (comments on those welcome), so I think something more French rather than fusion is best. Also those seem pretty casual so I’d love Saturday to be more of an “occasion” restaurant.

Based on recs here I’d been considering Perception and Hemicycle and, while I’d love to try them both and they’re definitely special, I think their tasting format won’t be a home run for my father.

All recs and feedback welcome. Thank you!

Perception is wonderful but it is a tasting menu in the sense that it is a a set menu (with unannounced courses.

Hémicycle is excellent.

Last September i showed up to Eunoe on a Sunday evening for dinner (having booked online) only to find it closed! I would check to see if they are really open on Sunday for dinner!

We had a nice a la carte dinner at Alleno Ledoyen a few years ago. Obviously a special place but $$$$!
L’Oiseau Blanc at Peninsula also fits the bill for special. Also not cheap!

Perception is as onz notes a tasting menu, but they will definitely accommodate preferences. They accommodated my relatively picky wife, and our dinner at Perception was one of her favorite meals. But of course if Dad simply doesn’t like tasting menus, then that’s moot.

Eunoe is definitely casual. I think Cheval d’Or is neither particularly casual nor formal. The settings seem to me on the elegant side.
