So I’m hearing that there’s no great places to eat around Antibes/Cannes…?
No there are plenty of places, but more so in Antibes and many of the other places around Cannes.

Not gooster, but one of our all time favorite restaurants in France is Le Bistrot du Paradou, 15 km south of St.Remy. A village institution that was ruined by the hordes sent by Peter Mayle but which has nicely recovered. No choice menu which changes by the day, rotation of mains the same on each day of the week. Reservations (phone only) mandatory at lunch or dinner. As I recall, 75euro at either service includes salad, main, cheese, dessert and fifth of house wine. [+33 4 90 54 32 70]
