In October 2024 we rented an apartment in the 11th and are splitting our time between the US (Portland, OR).
During our previous visits we had been mostly on the left bank, and so our place to go for a decent glass of wine and light meal was usually Au Sauvignon in the 7th.
After moving to the 11th, Au Savignon was too far, and since we are in the corner of 11th that borders the 3rd and the 10th, Le Pinardier was close, and worth a visit.
Suffice it to say that in our humble and relatively unexperenced opinion, Le Pinardier, is an amazing place and we are there at least once a week when we are in Paris.
Here are the reasons we love it:
-
Antione and Florian are very welcoming! The first time we went, they were super patient, suggested an amazing Cinsault and we have gotten to know them to the point of bringing bottles to share with them from the US.
-
They have a great selection of wines and we have never had a wine we did not absolutely love. Whether we want a glass or a special bottle, they have everything from a quaffable Bourgone Rouge, to a special bottle of Domaine Pattes Loup Chablis, or Chantereves. What I think is so awesome is there seems to be no set by the glass menu. You can describe what are are looking for and they will open a bottle even if you only want a glass.
-
The food is inventive, interesting, diverse and good. They have a great variety of small plates that change fequently and to our palate the food is more creative and of better quality that what we would have expected. One our most recent visit, we had a roasted cauliflower, with great mediterian spices, as well as an onion tart, that was rich and elegant.

We can book online. Since the place always seems to be packed (like Le Progrès), it is nice to be able to book in advance and know our table will be wating for us.
