Panucho’s, a Yucatan-style Mexican street food restaurant replaced the moribund Vietnam Restaurant at 620 Broadway (next to Sam’s) in late July . In addition to panuchos (a form of stuffed tortilla) they offer tacos, burritos, empanadas, etc. with traditional Yucatecan toppings/filling like poc chuc and cochinita pibil. It’s in a traditional drunk food block (think Sam’s and Yuet Lee) and, according to Yelpers, open until 2:00-3:00 AM.
Good to see some new life coming to this block ahead of the (eventual) opening of China Live.
