I don’t know if this is nationwide, or just some stores, or what, but my local Panera (Old Bridge, NJ) stopped bringing the orders to the tables a few weeks ago. Annoying as this is (see below), they compounded the felony by not actually telling patrons about it. It was only after the table pager vibrated four separate times that I thought to go up and ask whether they stopped bringing food out.
Given that my husband has a tremor from Parkinson’s, and given that they don’t provide trays, this means I have to make two trips to get the food. And they still have the nerve to ask for a tip!
We used to like Panera you could get (marginally) healthier food there, but this change knocks it down a few notches.
