Pai Kin Kao [Cambridge, Central Square]

I hadn’t heard of this Thai/Japanese restaurant, but hit it based on a random google after getting a vax shot at the CVS. It is a hole-in-the-wall type place on River St a few blocks out from the square. I only got one thing (Tom Yum Noodle Soup), but it was a pretty fine version of that, packaged nicely for takeout with the broth in one container and the noodles/sprouts/other stuff separate. There were a few thoughtful fillers in there, and that and the flavor-packed broth brought it a notch or two above your average Tom Yum. It’s not the most convenient place to get to, since it’s difficult to park around there, but based on that limited experience, seems worth the few minute walk from Central if you’re in the area, or maybe delivery if you’re in range.
