[Osaka, Japan] 炭火焼鳥きびたき Sumibiyakitori Kibitaki

Yakitori is an artform in Osaka. And yakitori-yas are everywhere in town too. There is prie fixe, high end yakitori, and there is more casual, more rowdy yakitori where everything is ala carte. The options are vast.

We picked Sumibiyakitori Kibitaki. The chefs came from a more high end yakitori-ya, but branched out on their own. Its on the casual end. They used Kawamata chicken from the Fukushima prefecture, and use Kishu binchotan to grill. They had both the omakase menu and the alacarte menu. We let them choose a few skewers for us and chose the rest ourselves.

The skewers were good. We would like it even more if we were able to sit at the counter and get the food immediately after it came off the grill.

I wonder what they mean by this:

“Customers, who are not good at the physical condition, please refrain to order.”

Was it also in Japanese? Referring to a specific dish?
