We arrived back at Osaka from Koya-san. Checked into the hotel, freshened up and its time to grab dinner!
Our hotel was just south of the Kuromon market so we went there as a first destination to look for food. Many places were closed already in the market, and the ramen place we were eyeing was unexpectedly closed as well. So we went back to the bustling streets outside and went to Fukutaro instead.
There was a huge crowd waiting outside Fukutaro, so we put our name down, and went to get some takoyaki from Wanaka while we waited.
We got the 8 of assorted flavor. That by itself was probably would be enough for dinner. So we had to save some room for Fukutaro.
I was actually a little worried about Fukutaro because I was not very sure about okonomiyaki the food, probably because the renditions i had in the past weren’t very good. We were finally seated in the annex, which had a lot better ventilation than the main restaurant.
For some reason I didn’t get a picture of the two okonomiyakis we ate. They were very good. Perfectly done. Much better than what I expected. Overall a very good meal.
Noodles for the kids.
Salad for the wife. Didn’t look much but I enjoyed it.
