They’ve opened (see top of thread). When I walked in today they had three things on offer: excellent pretzels, decent regular croissants, and somewhat burnt-looking almond croissants. I asked if they’d be offering more in the future, but couldn’t get a clear answer.
I didn’t get a good look at what they call themselves, but the emailed receipt I got suggests it’s “Love”. If so, it’s an odd name. If you try to Google it, you’d end up looking in all the wrong places.
Comparisons may not always be odious, but when not they are certainly odiferous. So, to maintain my stinking reputation, I snagged a house-baked croissant from FK next door. I preferred the tangy taste of the FK version (cultured butter?). Both had modest shatter.
It will be interesting to see how this works out with FK already selling so much of Iggy’s product. They, too, had Iggy’s croissants on display, both plain and almond.
