The stretch of Concord between Huron and Fawcett has been Bakery Row for a while. You could start with banana bread or a maple-pecan scone or a cheddar snail at Hi-Rise, replenish your resources with the lovely almond or pistachio cookies at Le Saison, then go on to the myriad offerings at Iggy’s on Fawcett. There’s been one problem, though. On the trek between Hi-Rise and Le Saison, you can find yourself peckish. That will soon be solved with the emergence at 292 Concord of

I popped in today before a cheese run across the street. It’s a fascinating place – although one that invites trepidation. I walked off with printed menus, but no food. Here’s a random selection of their offerings: Chinese lamb stuffed flatbread, creamy bacon and mushroom pasta, Sichuan peppercorn spice shrimp pasta, five-spice tofu and green soy bean, New Orleans roasted chicken wings, hot Italian pork sausage …
Then there’s a pizza section with toppings that include pepperoni, bamboo shoots, banana, and durian.

This item caught my eye. Is it flavored with a hot-kid? I think that something was lost in translation! LOL
The stuffed flat breads are very good here, as is the tofu. The Sichuan peppercorn spice shrimp pasta was, shall we say, interesting. It’s a place worth supporting.
