Onion Burger Buns

I make great burgers… but would love to up the game with better buns than store bought. And while I kinda like the Oroweat onion buns in the supermarket, they are of the giant variety which are too big for the burgers I make, plus they’re kinda flat.

Closest I have found so far is this YT vid…

Seems kinda weird she folds the onions into the dough so they are throughout the bun, but it looks good.

You’ve put me to task. Every recipe, save for King Arthur (onion powder) has the fold into dough technique, like an onion calzone/empanada. Now you got me into the onion roll thing. I see the Jewish deli recipe also adds poppy seeds. I like this idea.
