I remember being in a local “Indian” restaurant during Ramadan. It was very warm weather and must have been particularly difficult not to eat or drink all day. The waiter mentioned that the time had just arrived when he could break his fast. I said it was no problem if he needed to go and eat and drink - we were in no rush and giving him our order later was not a problem. I remember his words when he said he would take the order - “when it is in your heart, it is not a problem”.

Interesting. My son if often in Turkey during Ramadan, and we can hear the various calls to prayer when we talk on the phone. He does not seem to have any qualms about going about his usual day. No eating disorder for him!
