Jo’s Modern Thai is temporarily closed, while the owner tries to regroup from his celebrated chef leaving and an employee revolt via a published blogpost from over a dozen very unhappy employees who say the owner – and specifically not the chef – made unreasonable demands and consistently understaffed the restaurant.
Obviously, his big plans to open The Peach, a new brunch spot on Lakeshore Avenue, are now set back as well.
Jo’s is at 3725 MacArthur Blvd, Oakland - a few blocks west of High St., in the Laurel district.
