Ikaros/Oakland is one of our favorite Mediterranean restaurants (plus the cheap city parking lot behind Grand Lake Theatre, is right next to it). They have just restarted their weekend brunch menu, 11a-3p, Sat/Sun:

We go there regularly for the saganaki, which is yummy: a rectangle of halloumi, deep-fried so it has a crust all over, then flambeed at the table with brandy. Served with Semifreddi toasts, for two people to fight over scraping up boozy melted crusty cheese bits - yummy!
They also make a great steak(!) and a lovely variant of galaktoboureko (filo-wrapped rice and custard).
