I’ve wanted to go to that NYC pastry chef bake sale for so long.

As a 12 year old, my buddy’s dad ran for local office. His campaign activity took place in their basement. I was asked to fold political flyers which I did at record speed because what I still remember fondly is the grownups sharing homemade layer cake and cups of coffee with me. My buddy’s mom could bake! Matter of fact, I think her cakes got her husband elected!
