New York Times counts Montrose restaurant ChopnBlok among 50 best restaurants in U.S. list
Wow. Nigerian. Looks a bit more upscale than the Nigerian restos out here in my part of town that I’ve been to. This part of town used to be called Little Nigeria. The Houston Press food editor (after Robb Walsh - can’t remember her name) used to say Nigerian was the next big thing… that was more than 10 years ago. I think there have been a couple of Nigerian restos in the Galleria area, also.
Note Oh yes, the article also mentions San Antonio and Austin restos.
