NPR article: ramen noodles being prisoners together

One of the things I love about food is the way it can bring people together. Anytime I feel a conversation going south I will divert the topic to food and usually I can find enough middle ground to turn it back around. I loved this article because it discussed how important ramen noodles are to prison life. It’s a food that doesn’t usually come to mind when we’re talking about foodie culture, but when it is all you have you learn to make due. (Which is how some of the best dishes came to be, IMO) http://www.npr.org/sections/thesalt/2015/11/04/454671629/behind-bars-cheap-ramen-is-as-good-as-gold
