NJ ripoffs. This could get ugly....

Trenton tomato pies, I mean. I am a De Lorenzo Tomato Pie fan.

I just read this article: “Nearby Philadelphia has its own dish called tomato pie, which is not to be confused with its neighbor in New Jersey. Philly tomato pie is thick and rectangular, like a dense focaccia topped with crushed tomato and no cheese. It’s served at room temperature from the counters of local bakeries. Trenton tomato pie, on the other hand, is more recognizable as a Neapolitan pizza derivation. It’s round and lightly topped with mozzarella and tomatoes”

Fine for some people, not so great for diabetics.

BYOW - If I really liked the restaurant I would just bring my own water and be done with it.

I would just bring what you want. I bring beer into places like north of the border and no one ever says anything. They have signs up in English and spanish too but I’m a rebel dottie, a loner. Name that quote!

Exactly, you can’t be shy about these kind of things. If they ever give you grief about it at North of the Boarder make sure to tell them Large Marge sent you.

The link is broken for me, but I can see in the URL something about Taco Bell being America’s favorite Mexican restaurant?

My body is ready to have the same reaction had I eaten at Taco Bell.

I like Taco Bell’s bean burrito with hot sauce, but I wouldn’t call it Mexican.

Si !

And this little guy is one of Mexicos favorite cartoons:

The hair of the dog taco is a new breakfast item.

Well here’s a water idea for San Francisco:

Here is an interactive map where you determine if there are significant levels of hexavalent chromium in your drinking water:

In the SFbay area there are very high levels in Santa Clara, San Jose and Daly City, but high levels pretty much everywhere else.

In Monmouth there are issues in Freehold and Keansburg.

Other places look ok, but we generally avoid tap water in our beverages as it has an off taste around here.

I nominate Russtle & Baddies. In fact, I nominate the whole Sluttbux empire !

Wats yo beef? Yo your food sux!

Gotta be honest with you.

Looks like something somebody already ate.

I’ll leave the rest to everyone’s imagination.

Natto?

Natto on my table? Natto ever!

“NJ ripoffs. This could get ugly….”

Speaking of fugly, I further nominate the Bum Runner, the Robos Swale House (2x), the Butt House, CJ Mac Looney’s, the Pier Hole, and the whole rest of the evil McClone Empire:

From the website…

“About Tim McLoone
Tim McLoone: Musician, entertainer, restaurateur, entrepreneur and humanitarian. The modern day Renaissance Man! Schooled at Harvard and accomplished in music, athletics, and business, Tim McLoone opened his first restaurant in October of 1987.”

Such awful food. Such high prices. And yet so humble.

You gotta wonder if he really eats in his own place.
