Last fall, the East Bay finally got its first Japanese supermarket, Osaka Marketplace. It’s the anchor store in an Asian strip mall in south Fremont just off the I-880 Mission Boulevard exist. It’s smaller than the Mitsuwa in San Jose, but it has a nice selection plus a really good sushi counter. There’s also a mini-food court selling ramen, rice bowls, mochi donuts, and soft serve.
