I had the good fortune to attend a Thanksgiving feast prepared by food historians in similar fashion, at Museum Village in Monroe, NY … that is before the DOH sadly decided to shut down future cooking and dining events of this type. Oddly they can still prepare tastings … The number of people in attendance was limited, it was a very intimate event that was fascinating, entertaining and delicious … all of the food was prepared in the original kitchen and cooked in the open hearth.
I am pretty sure we picked up a copy of the cook book they used. I had pics but they were lost in the great “Chowdom computer meltdown of 2010 ish” Truly one of the best organized events we have ever attended, really a great loss.
