New posts not showing under "New"

I posted 2 new threads (or whatever these things are called these days) today. Neither one appears when I click on “New” in the pulldown menu. But they do appear if I go to “Latest”.

I just wonder how many posts I miss by using the “New” section instead of the “Latest” section.

Is there a reason some posts appear as “New” and other don’t?

Is it because you posted them, the software considers that you have read the thread and they aren’t new to you? I think New means when you haven’t entered a thread previously.

Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything good :wink:
