Haha, sorry! I tend to forget that not everyone’s got medical work history under their belt.
I still have time to delete…
Oh, a few. It just never occurred to me to share them in graphic detail on a food site
Saul Goodman. I don’t have to read it again
Bought these on sale. Disappointed. As my son said after tasting some - these don’t really taste of anything, certainly not of pineapple and habanero.
I like this soda available at Loblaws and other connected stores in Canada.
God, I love places like that. An Amish bent and dent by me has some wild selections.
So far I’ve used the syrup in cocktails, on French toast, in coffee and in iced tea. Subtle spice adjustments. How would you use it?
I’d put some in oatmeal (if you like you’re oatmeal on the sweet side)
I would. This syrup is a lot lighter and a lot less sweet than maple syrup.
This would be good in an iced latte.
I always think about how good warm gulab jamun would be over soft serve vanilla. Maybe over ice cream?
I think some ice cream spots in Toronto make Gulab Jamun ice cream or gelato.
Baklava -flavoured gelato and baklava sundaes are a thing.
Sadly, no one in my upstate NY area is doing this! My husband and I have kicked around getting take out gulab jamun and then getting soft serve and putting together our own sundae!
Not a new item to Canadian grocery stores. They have been around since 1940, the original Schneiders wiener.
I don’t remember if I ever bought Schneiders Red Hots in the past.
Red Hots are an all-pork hot dog.
Both my DC and I didn’t like them as much as Schneiders All Beef, Metzger’s All Beef, Norpack all beef, Farm Boy All Beef or Shopsy’s.
I won’t be buying Red Hots again. They’re not spicy, which I knew. I think they’re names Red Hots because they’re hot dogs with a slightly reddish colour when cooked compared to all beef hot dogs.
Even on a batch of baklava!
Every beverage I’ve added this syrup to has been a hit.
Boar’s Head hummus. Blech. It’s bland and grainy. Back to homemade (or Sabra in a pinch).
Some hot dogs used to be dyed bright red! I remember as a kid getting chili dogs from a drive in that were. Then the coloring was banned, I think, or driven out of favor. Oh well, too bad for me …
I thought I remembered that happening, and they were called ‘Red Hots’. Part of the drive-in theater fare: dogs, pink popcorn bricks, taffy. Lots of nutrition for a double feature.
