Nessia is a bistrot in the northeast section of the Marais that is providing food of excellent quality. I’m not aware of another restaurant in the immediate area that is providing food of this quality. My report on lunch there is here.

Thanks for this review, onz! Very interesting. I love this part of Paris in the upper Marais, just a short bit below Place de la République. We often stop by various places in the area late in the evening for a light meal, such as at L’Îlot or Le Barav (next door to Nessia), or for a two or three course meal at the small delightful Bistrot Instinct, which has amazing food and always has a vegetarian option.
