I heard about this Persian restaurant from the Paris Update newsletter.
They were slammed at lunch yesterday. I don’t mind waits between courses, but if dip-like dishes are the starter, I want my bread! We finally got it after we had already dug in, and it was warm & delicious.
We went with the lunch menu. Starters of green feta and le mirza, a lovely concoction of eggplant, tomatoes & a perfectly cooked egg.
Mains were the Goûte-moi ça and the lamb dish (€3 supplement). They come with a choice of rice of the moment or riz croustillant. We ordered one of each, but either something was lost in translation, or they goofed, but it was so good, we didn’t care. And as much as I love lamb, I really loved the vegetarian main. Herbs, mushrooms, red beans - and some seriously wonderful flavors.
We both had the Tushpa red wine from Armenia (9€) and really enjoyed it.
I heard no other English in the place, and there were lots of tables of coworkers, I think.
Despite the service lapses, I would go back to try more of the menu.
