Nam was mentioned in a Toronto Life article, so the Big J and I had lunch there today. The restaurant was full when we arrived, but we only had about a five minute wait until we were seated. Big J had pork bún, while I enjoyed chicken pho. Big J thought the bún was the best he has had in a restaurant and the flavourful chicken pho had just the right amount of chicken and two quail eggs. Excellent food for a fair price makes this a place to visit again. Apologies for no photos. I didn’t think of taking one until well into lunch.
" Nam 2 "!!!..Was that a typo? Are you describing the place on Leslie just south of 16th Ave, next to the Shell station? If so, then the place is just called ’ NAM '…or is ’ Nam 2 ’ a new place by the same owner that I am not aware of??
If you like the place, then you should pay it a visit on the weekend where they offer some awesome specials like a super complex and mildly spicy ’ Bun Rieu ’ with butter sauteed crispy softshell crab! Yummm!
I’m a bit confused about the name. The restaurant sign says nam but their instagram says nam2, as does the Toronto life article. I was at the place on Leslie. Instagram shows a second restaurant on Kennedy.
I’m definitely going back to try some of their specials. We thought the owner was a really nice guy and the hostess (his wife, maybe?) was also friendly and attentive. I was very impressed at how quickly they were able to produce such tasty and well-plated food.
The chicken wings are awesome too!
They have two locations! Nam is on Leslie and 16th while their second location “Nam 2” is on Kennedy. Both are great.
Yes they have 2 locations! First one they opened is on Leslie and their second location is on Kennedy!
