Joyous Cuisine 兰亭序, was a restaurant that had been opened for a few months on Castro in Mountain View when I went in March. When I looked them up today, they are now Joyous Cuisine 花溪王之山野美食, with same English name, different and much longer Chinese name, different interior decor, same chairs.
Not a surprise they changed concept. Joyous Cuisine 兰亭序 was really not that good. Compared to the new branch of Lanzhou Noodle on Castro, Joyous Cuisine 兰亭序 was a few tiers down. No wonder the restaurant was empty on a weekend lunch. That should have been a warning sign right there.
For those wondering about the brush calligraphy and paper in the ceiling. 兰亭序 is a very famous Chinese poem, hence the decor.
