Speaking of Halloween candy, I just found an unopened bag of dum-dums lollipops from last Halloween, as we didn’t get any trick or treaters last year.
Does anyone know if those lollipops go bad/stale??
If not, I’ll use them this year if we get any trick or treaters…

Every year (we’ve lived here 32 years) we buy Halloween candy for the trick or treaters.
Do we get any trick or treaters? On a good Halloween, maybe 2.
Guess who eats the candy? Win-win all around! 
I’m all over the 2nd place for MA. But a big no on #1.
Right? Butterfinger & Reese’s cups in ANY state I’m trick or treating in. Which I am not anymore, but … well, IYKYK.
Any state that has Starbursts or Sour Patch anything has to be questioned and knocked down several notches on the confection totem pole of life.
Not saying I am a fan, but I am surprised that candy corn was not more popular as a Halloween candy.

Being known as the fullsize candy bar guy on my block does fill me with pride.
My constituents do prefer the sours and gummies and colorful items by a wide margin! kids these days right? We supplement usually with kit kats and peanut m and ms, but those are usually for the parents.
I’m also noting that as many here surely know there is a real push away from peanut butter and peanuty candies in schools and related communities. More for me I guess cuz that’s what I prefer.
On a related note, I have discovered two-foot long twizzlers and they are fantastic. Here in the land of redvines, this is what I go for late night chain smoking.
They need to make a candy corn flavor of Twizzlers just for Halloween.
Oh wait, they do.
What was I thinking that I could one-up the confection gods.
After Halloween, I always get the discounted (leftover) candy corn, that is my personal favorite.
For MA, pleasantly surprised they acknowledge that it’s not freaking Necco wafers. No sane person in this state considers what amounts to thin a Tums discs as candy.
Dubble Bubble though. That’s almost as bad. Might as well say we like Mary Jane candies or Bazooka bubble gum.
Bazooka vs Dubble Bubble is an eternal question that can ñever be answered.
But comics tip the scale,
Growing up in MA this would always get my nickel.
Had a notable perfume and flavor. No comic but a fortune.
If I had a real fortune back then it woulda been big league chew.
Totally Bazooka. Although it always took awhile to get the gum soft.

Reese’s PB cups are most popular at our place, for our own consumption. We had out the peanut-free pack, which includes KitKat, Aero (plain milk chocolate), Smarties (candy coated milk chocolate in Canada- the fruit-flavoured candies called Smarties in the States are called Rockets up here) and Coffee Crisp.
