Monterey/Santa Cruz: Phil's Fish Market prepares its move to new quarters

The legendary Phil’s Fish Market’s new location in Castroville is coming soon. In the interim, owner Phil DiGirolamo introduced Phil’s Cioppino Truck, which is open daily and parked next to Phil’s Snack Shack’s original site (7600 Sandholdt Rd, Moss Landing). The menu includes clam chowder, fish and chips and, of course, the eponymous cioppino bowl. The truck soft-opened Friday, Oct. 21 and is being “very well received,” DiGirolamo says.

Thanks for the news. I really wanted to go to the original place before it closed but couldn’t make it. I try to go down from the Bay Area to Monterey/Carmel at least once a year and I’m plan to go before it gets too cold.

I hope they’re open before Christmas so that we can stop there on the way to/from Paso Robles.
