Mole Cantina, Manhattan takes care of my Mexican fix...

We usually find ourselves at the UES location of Mole Cantina Mexicana, between 89th & 90th on 2nd. My kids live in the area and we enjoy Mole’s take on Mexican/Tex Mex. Over the past several visits we have ordered: fresh prepared Guacamole; stuffed Enchiladas with a mix of mole and spicy tomatillo sauce; smoking Fajitas; one of their big Burritos; and really good Fish Tacos. It is a bit pricier than some other spots, but they just seem to give it that extra pizzazz…

Something like that…thanks, VK.

Met up with family early last night and feasted on a table full of Mole specialties. It was crowded, noisy and we walked in for a table of 6. I must commend the friendly manager and staff for treating our unexpected group so well. We did have a short wait but it all turned out fine. Food, as usual, was also quite good…
Love what they did to the interior, pictures and all.

While waiting for family we indulged in a heaping dish of their nachos, and followed with the decadent queso fundito sprinkled with chorizo. Wow, so good!
