The biggest news at the unveiling of the MICHELIN Guide Thailand 2025 yesterday was the welcoming of its first ever 3-Michelin-star restaurant: the exquisite Sorn, which elevates Southern Thai cuisine into an ultra-refined dining experience like no other.
The first MICHELIN Guide Thailand was published in 2018, and this is its eighth edition.
The MICHELIN Guide’s first Asia-based guide was Tokyo (2008), followed by Hong Kong & Macau (2009). The other Asian territories to have MICHELIN Guides are Singapore (July 2016), Korea (Nov 2016), and Taiwan (2018). The latest to join the fray is Kuala Lumpur & Penang (Malaysia’s two main cities) in 2023.
The 2025 line-up for Thailand also features 7 Two MICHELIN Stars, 28 One MICHELIN Star, 156 Bib Gourmand and 270 MICHELIN Selected entries.
