Not on TV, unfortunately. I don’t think they have any sort of live feed so it’s just a matter of waiting till either Michelin or the catering press publish a full list late evening.

I have two local predictions.

First, SKOF in Manchester will get a star. We havent been and don’t intend to go. Long tasting menus no longer appeal.

Second, Adam Reid (also in Manchester) will again fail to get a a star (in spite of the Good Food Guide rating the restaurant as “exceptional” - one of only 41 in the whole UK. It will be a continuing travesty.

Both predictions correct.

And no real surprises as yet in the northwest. Moor Hall has got its third star which might have been expected. There’s something incestuous here. The chefs there and at SKOF are both ex senior staff at the 3* L’Enclume. Be interesting to see who, if anyone, has lost their starts.

Agreed. I think I reviewed Skof here after we went last year. Unless they’ve upped their game considerably, I wouldn’t give it a star. Was pleased to see Plates get a star though - going there at the end of the month

Any news on Reid breaking free and opening away from the Midland, John ?

I’ve not heard anything about Reid - although our fellow contributor @Apple did hint some months back that he was considering leaving the Midland.
